Our story

From a small unit to a house of rolls.

This organisation came into existence in early 1995, born from its mother concern, M/s Prince Steel Industries, at Mandi Gobindgarh, the "Steel Town" of Asia, on the national highway between Amritsar and Delhi.

It began small. But as the re-rolling industry went through a massive expansion, with revamping and modernisation across the country, a single unit could not meet the demand for rolls. So the management established a forging plant under the name M/s C.S. Forgings Pvt. Ltd., bringing in modern technology for manufacturing rolls.

To keep pace with new structural units and with automatic and semi-automatic plants, the group then installed a forging plant fully equipped with a precision machine shop and in-house testing facilities. Today we can produce all kinds of heavy forged steel products, including rolls up to 30″ in diameter and 10 MT finished weight per piece.

Founder & Chairman

Sh. Channan Singh Matharoo

A self-made industrialist with rich experience in the manufacture of rolls, Sh. Channan Singh Matharoo founded the organisation and has guided it through three decades of dedicated service to the rolling industry.

Origins
M/s Prince Steel Industries, the mother concern, makes rolls at Mandi Gobindgarh.
1995
C.S. Forgings Pvt. Ltd. is established to meet growing demand from the re-rolling industry.
Growth
A forging plant is installed, with a precision machine shop and in-house testing facilities.
Export
Rolls begin shipping to Kenya, Sri Lanka, Nepal and the UAE. The company is recognised as an export award winner.
2013
First ISO 9001:2008 certificate of registration issued on 13 August 2013.
2022
KPD Alloys Pvt. Ltd., now CS Rolls Pvt. Ltd., is incorporated at Village Jalalpur on Amloh Road.
