Chilled Barrel

Chilled Barrel Rolls

A centrifugally cast barrel, on a steel shaft.

Chilled Barrel Rolls

Drag to turn

The barrels of these rolls are centrifugally cast, then fitted with EN-8 steel shafts and M.S. rings.

This construction puts the hard chilled surface exactly where the roll does its work, with the toughness of a steel shaft behind it.

A chilled barrel for wear, a steel shaft for strength: each material where it does the most good.
